COVID-19 Business Response Update


The Covid-19 pandemic continues to have far-reaching effects on people’s lives and businesses. As a UK manufacturer of products which are essential for good health and hygiene, Triton, will continue to ensure we do everything we can to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff, whilst providing the products our customers and consumers require.

Since the UK entered its first phase of nation-wide lockdown, protecting the health and wellbeing of our colleagues as well as their families has remained our first and continuing priority, along with everyone Triton partners with throughout the wider bathroom industry and supply chain.

Our customer service and technical representatives have all done a fantastic job working remotely, screening incoming calls and orders so that visits to the elderly, vulnerable and key healthcare workers, have been prioritised.  We are starting to resume a more normalised response service as we bring back our engineers in a planned and safe manner to catch up on any paused calls and respond to new ones.  There still might be a slight delay as we return to full resource both in the field and in our call centre as we adjust to new Covid working practices; and we thank customers for their patience and understanding at this time.

Customer product requirements have also been processed so that requests from hospitals and the healthcare sector have been handled as a matter of urgency to ensure support is provided where needed the most.  Daily despatches are now operating as normal  as we respond to daily orders  and provide next day delivery.

Triton Showers Since the Government’s announcement on 10 May and the easing of lockdown rules in England, Triton has carefully and safely returned to a more ‘normalised’ level of production and factory activity.

As part of this process, we have undertaken the necessary risk assessments which has enabled our colleagues to return to our production lines in accordance with the latest health and safety guidance.  We are implementing regular reviews and audits of the procedures in place and in our employee’s confidence in the Covid Secure practices in place. We will continue to improve and adapt, as necessary.

At the same time Triton continues to strive to make it easy to do business with us, ensuring all customers have the right products made and supplied as required. In the short term, while we may experience some very slight delays in shipping, the stock levels in our warehouse remain good, so we are confident that all orders can be handled efficiently and timely. In line with Government advice, strategies are also in place to develop an even stronger e-service capability so that Triton’s shower ranges are accessible through all channels and sectors.

Most of our staff who can do so, will remain working from home, accessing systems and providing support electronically as well as over the telephone as usual. We have, where necessary, welcomed smaller groups of individuals back to the office as required, always following the correct social distancing guidelines and ensuring we are remaining Covid Secure.

During this unprecedented time, the positive attitude of every one of our employees has never failed to amaze me. Despite the challenges faced, we have been able to keep goods moving from the warehouse to wherever needed the most. For this, I would like to say another huge and heartfelt thank you to all those involved. It is amazing what we have been able to achieve by pulling together.

We will continue to follow any new direction issued by HM Government and Public Health England and adapt our processes and procedures, as necessary. In the meantime, we wish everyone all the very best of health, so please stay safe, stay home, and stay alert.
