The water temperature from my mixer is too cool, what should I check?

Check that the hot water temperature at basin taps is acceptable (this should be approximately 55 to 60C). If it is not, then the thermostat on the hot water system (e.g. hot water cylinder or combination boiler) needs adjusting. HP models only - has the mixer shower been connected to mains water pressure (hot and cold) between 1 and 5 bar? If pressures are in excess of 5 bar, then it is advisable to have a pressure-reducing valve fitted. Check whether the showering temperature is acceptable by pressing the 'maximum temperature stop' override button (if fitted on the mixer) and increasing it to a higher setting? If it is then reset the 'maximum temperature stop' as per the fitting instructions. Check the hot water inlet for possible blockages.Low-pressure models only - check that the mixer valve has been correctly plumbed to gravity system hot and cold supplies and not the mains cold supply.
