excellent showers Reviewed by sharon
I replaced my 14 yr old triton with this new one and as expected this shower is well worth the money. With my old shower I broke a small part and had to fix this. The customer service was excellent. Triton actually replaced the complete shower. Even though the shower was about 6 yrs old. These showers are made to last years.(Posted on 18/07/2014)
Poor thermostat control Reviewed by D Crow
As many of the other reviews, mine is a direct replacement of a previous model from about 10 years ago. The old one controlled the temperature perfectly WITHOUT having to adjust the level. However, this new one requires adjustment to keep the temperature roughly the same, depending on the temperature of the incoming hot water. What's the use of a thermostat if it doesn't keep the temperature constant!(Posted on 20/05/2014)
Triton Showers response - Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear you are encountering difficulties with the temperature control of your shower. However, manual temperature controlled power showers (such as the AS2000X) are more susceptible to their installation than thermostatic temperature controlled showers, such as the Triton AS2000XT Thermostatic Power Shower, which constantly regulate the incoming water temperature for more precise shower temperature control.

I also cannot achieve a hot shower without the temperature control being set on maximum.I also replaced like for like.My old shower would geneally stay on setting 6-7, which provided a hot shower.The problem when the setting is on maximum to achieve a hot shower is that you cannot increase this if others have had a shower before, and there might not be so much hot water.(Posted on 11/11/2013)
I am rather fortunate that my cold water supply is fed directly from the water tank, so by restricting the flow I have cured this problem.
I followed all the instuctions on page 14 with out success.

Triton showering the way Reviewed by AndyK
Installed this recently to replace an older triton shower which had seen a long life and served our growing family well. This replacement was ideal as it was easy to replace the old one. we find the shower powerful and temperature easy to manage and seems to be a very good up grade and good value.(Posted on 24/08/2013)
Does not hot enough Reviewed by Richard
Just bought this shower to replace an identical one. The inside components appear the same but the case has had a make over. The problem with the new one, that did not arise with the old one, is that to run hot it needs to be on max. I have run it with just the temperature dial on the spindle to ensure max heat but its barely hot enough. The temperature of the hot water is 55C but it seems that the shower it taking too much cold. Everything with the installation is identical to the old one and I have checked the gate valve which is fine, so it must be the shower. If you like cool showers - this is the one for you!(Posted on 28/04/2013)
Triton showers response;
Hi, Thanks for your comments. The issue you describe may be due to the mixer valve temperature spindle not being aligned correctly with the temperature control knob setting. It is worth checking commissioning details on page 14 of the fitting instructions.
Other areas to consider are;
Ideally a stored hot water temperature of 60 - 65 Deg C is required as per the installation guide.
There could be a blockage/restriction of hot water available to the product or a blocked filter on the hot inlet.
And finally there could be a problem with the temperature valve within the product - if you believe this to be the case then please contact our Customer Service Department to arrange a service visit.

You have to put it on the highest tempreture to get it to run hot enough.(Posted on 05/11/2012)
Triton Showers -
It is unusual to have to turn the temperature control on the AS2000x to the maximum setting to achieve a hot enough shower temperature. It is worth checking that the temperature control has been assembled correctly during installation.The method of assembly is detailed on page 14 of the fitting instructions. Ensure the valve spindle has been turned fully anti-clockwise to the fully hot position before fitting the control knob.
The problem can also be due to a blocked inlet filter or the hot water supply temperature being less than 55 degrees Centigrade
If the problem still persists following the above checks then a service engineer visit can be arranged to identify the cause of the problem.
