  • Good value, does the job Reviewed by Sean Style Ease of use Quality Value for Money

Replacement for Triton unit which failed (the motor died) after what must have been nearly 20 years. Same mounting and connection points, so almost drop-in replacement. Motor looks identical, but overall quality feels a little lower.

Works well, slight improvement over old one is separated out controls.

I had this installed by a plumber and he had problems with the hot flow because he had not read the instructions to connect below the hot outflow not above ('pipe down' is the advice). I was surprised it was so sensitive.
Once operating correctly, the shower worked fine but a bit noisy - as other reviewers have stated.

Replacement for same model Triton shower that died 15 months after purchase. Purchased for £200 less ( yes - £ 200 ) from Amazon as opposed to Triton direct. Does the job but like other reviewers have mentioned it is noisy.

  • A good power shower Reviewed by Fred

I replaced a Triton Power Shower which I installed in 2000 - so 15 years is pretty good. Unfortunately no spares available.

The new one fitted exactly as promised by the Triton Customer Service.

I am very happy with the price I paid but not direct from Triton - I made a very good saving.

I have replaced like with like but I have to say that the replacement is not quite up to the standard of the one I removed.

    To be fair, overall, happy.

  • An Easy Replacement Reviewed by TikTaks

Our Triton AS2000T gave up the ghost after 14 years of daily use - not bad going. My wife researched a replacement and we decided on the AS2000XT, no contest really as we'd had such good service from the old one. The sceptic in me thought that this would mean a re-tiling job in the bathroom. I am happy to confirm it was a very straight forward replacement, old one off, new one in - simples - no alteration to water pipes or electrics. Shower equally as good as the old one. A happy chappy.

  • A well liked bit of kit Reviewed by Kev

I have just replaced my trusty AS2000XT as the original model I purchased in 2006 finally decided to give up the ghost after years of punishment. The fact that the model looks pretty much identical after 8 years says it must be doing something right !

The new one seems noticeably quieter than its predecessor.

Had the manual version for years but it was coming to the end of its life.

The local council installed a lovely looking brand new Mira electric shower worth over £400 in our bathroom refurbishment, what a load of rubbish, it was pathetic just not enough water pressure to get a decent shower. We could not wait to get it changed and get a power shower back.

Yesterday the AS2000XT was installed, once again its a joy to have a shower.

The only downside I can think of is its seems noisier than my old model.

  • Replacement shower Reviewed by BANKERBERTHA

This was a replacement for an older Triton power shower I had from 1999. After a few motor brush changes, and getting progressively noisier it seemed to seize up. I chose this new one as the plumbing connections were very similar, and it seemed reasonable value. Not too difficult to fit, though slightly smaller, requiring new wall fixing holes. Quieter and powerful enough, slightly odd controls as mentioned by NJN, but fine generally. Interesting to see how long this one lasts, and how easy it is to fit new brushes which it will undoubtedly need in a couple of years! Also will it get progressively noisier?

  • Quirky design Reviewed by NJN

Bought this to replace a previous model which had suddenly become very noisy and lost power after 13 years of use; with the same screw and plumbing points, the exchange is relatively simple.

But who decided that the flow control turns clockwise to increase, with a mid-point of straight down, whilst the temperature control turns anticlockwise to increase, with a mid-point of straight up? Wierd.

  • Looks stylish but will it prove to be reliable? Reviewed by Chris

This is the forth AS2000XT (or earlier equivalent models) I've had - two in each of the two bathrooms. This latest model looks more stylish and I hope will eventually prove to be reliable but when the plumber installed it the push fittings were faulty and started leaking after a couple of days. The unit had to be changed so I ended up with having to have three visits from the plumber and two weeks without a shower before all was sorted! I was dubious about the build quality of the earlier models but stuck to the same to avoid entry pipes having to be altered and save on costs! (It would have been cheaper to have had pipework altered and another make installed)!

  • Easy to fit, quieter than last Triton unit, slightly lower pressure than last unit, so far see no reason why I wouldn't replace with same in the future! Reviewed by Kevin

This was a replacement for my last Triton unit that lasted for a little over 6 years (we live in a Very hard water area) Salisbury Plain (v. chalky)! we do however have a water softener which helps a great deal.
This model is almost identical to the last, so installation took about 1/2 hr as cables & pipes fitted exactly. The only negatives are
1, At the lowest pump speed, there is barely enough pressure to push water out of all holes in the shower head when the head is at full height on the rail.
2, When pump is 'flat out' it is not quite as powerful as my last unit.
    on the positive side,
Easy to fit, easy to use, quieter than the last one & does the job!
So far, no reason that I wouldn't replace with same in the future!

My last AS2000XT Thermostatic Power Shower lasted for 7.5 years and only recently the pump action started to fade although the shower continued to release water. So I had the choice to go for another model but I stuck with this make as I know it will give me many years of use. This model is the same but there are several improvements to the shower including the shower head being larger and the temperature seems to be more accurate than before. It is also excellent value for money.
