Social Housing and Supplier Relationships
At Triton, we enjoy a reputation as specialists in social housing, and have a dedicated team of category experts who fully understand procurement needs. We know that while product choice and value for money are of course critical, there are many other priorities that a supplier with a partnership mind-set can deliver to make life easier for those responsible for public housing stock. Namely, quality assurance, compliance, proactive risk management, and an eye on lifetime costs - while ideally contributing in terms of social value too.
Let’s tick off products and pricing first of all. As the UK’s market leader, we’ve been designing and manufacturing products at our headquarters in Nuneaton for over 40 years for the British market. Many of these products are designed specifically for the social housing market with both the end user and specifier in mind. For the specifier, they are products which are easy to install no matter whether for refits or new build. For the end users they offer an efficient, easy-to-use showering solution that looks good from a known and trusted British brand. Contracts are negotiated on a case by case basis, but rest assured we are competitive. We are in this for the long haul to build enduring relationships where supplier and client benefit financially.
We know that the product itself is only part of what is important to social housing providers and that the service you receive from a supplier is equally critical. Triton has a team of fully trained service engineers, offers full parts and labour guarantees and has a UK based customer care centre.
We have a large department dedicated to compliance, and the safety of our products is at the forefront of everything we do. Examples of innovation in this area include our thermostatic mixers regulating water temperature and our thermostatic electric showers complying with the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA)’s Thermostatic definition. Our electric thermostatic models also have CE marking and BSI Kitemark certifications. In addition, our care products have been designed in conjunction with occupational therapists and have BEAB Care approval, demonstrating that they have been designed specifically for those who require extra assistance. Some are even approved by the RNIB, again demonstrating our commitment to offering a truly inclusive product range.
In terms of the environment, Triton conforms to EMS ISO 14001 with total commitment to continually reviewing processes and systems. Key areas include the use of sustainable resources, fuel efficient vehicles, water conservation and energy efficiency. We also pride ourselves that all manufacturing waste materials are recycled resulting in zero waste to landfill.
Our approach with social housing providers is very much a proactive and bespoke one. We work closely with specifiers to fully understand requirements and then will tailor our service to meet those needs – embracing risk management along the way. For example, we will set up Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure customer service and communication meet your expectations but can also look at more practical solutions such as product testing within your estate before full roll-out. Training is another key area where we can build a programme around your needs. We hold regular sessions at our head office but can also come out to your sites to create bespoke training modules based on the types of products you need for your housing stock. We work in partnership with our customers to ensure installers are properly trained to fit our products meaning they will need less maintenance, require less downtime and fewer resources ensuring lifetime value is kept to a maximum.

At Triton, we are committed to corporate social responsibility and believe it should be at the centre of any business. As covered previously, we see our role as a supplier to social housing providers as something more than just providing products. We believe we can add real social value through working together to bring economic, environmental and social value to your communities.
