A Nuneaton-based business is supporting a local charity with a dazzling lights switch-on with a difference this December.

After a challenging 2020, Triton Showers, the UK’s leading shower manufacturer, has set out to – literally – brighten up Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice with a festive helping hand. The business has donated an array of Christmas lights creating a festive atmosphere for the children spending time at the hospice, as well as their families.

The lights switch-on took place virtually, allowing everyone to come together and join in with carol singing from the safety of their own homes. A special guest turned the lights on: Iszak, from Coventry, who has been a patient at the hospice for two years, joined by his parents, Alice and Kyza, and his younger sister, Ameerah, for the big switch-on.

The donation forms part of a four-year partnership between Triton and the hospice, in which the shower company provides sponsorship to help run the hospice on a day to day basis.

Tina Simpson, Marketing Director at Triton Showers, commented: “The dedication and care which Zoë’s Place provides children and their families is amazing. We’re so pleased to be able to get involved with the decoration of the hospice and lights switch on to spread a little joy among the residents and fantastic staff who work so hard to look after them.”

Ian Carr, Head of Fundraising at Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice, said: “We are so grateful for the continued support that Triton Showers offers us, which allows the hospice and its team members to keep on doing all it can to help the children and their families.

“Once again, we were over the moon to receive such a thoughtful donation. It’s a lovely gesture to put a smile on everyone’s face and acknowledge the fabulous work the Nursing team carry out on a daily basis – all while facing so many challenges.”
